Why my brightness is not functioning?

I have a dell laptop inspiron 5000 series. Which my brightness does not function when i upgrade to windows 10. brighness keys are funtioning, but my brightness is not working. it stays constant even i press brightnss keys

You might have reached the maximum brightness (which may not be all that bright). Have you tried turning the setting all the way down then all the way up again?

go to device manager and check for driver updates for display
