Why my DVD RW could not work ?

I used LG DVD RW. It works on Windows 7 Home Premium,

"does not work"...
...does not spin up
...Windows doesn't detect it
...does not play a DVD (it won't out of the box)
..does not make tea then serve it to me :wink:

Do you have the latest driver loaded for your DVD drive? You can go to Control Panel; Devices and scroll down to Disk Drive and check the driver. Make sure your external drive is plugged into your computer. It should be recognized and you should be able to update driver.

This is the only suggestion I have. Maybe others will have some ideas as well. Good Luck.
