Why Outlook doesn't show my contacts names?

When I receive an e-mail from one of my contacts it doesn't show his/her name, instead it shows parts of their e-mail address. As shown belowe. Why is that?

I don't think it matters what you have them saved as. To my knowledge, the 'from' field shows the name as the sender sets it. At least on outlook and gmail.

Not if it's showing only what the sender wants to be seen. I have senders that show complete name and some show just the minimum.
