Why won't Groove show embedded album art?

Groove won't show embedded album art

This has never happened before, since the update 3.6.2096.0. only some of my EMBEDDED album art shows up! wtf groove??? I don't get it, it should show up, I've spent countless hours curating my library getting all the metadata right and yet it doesn't ******* show up! And this is a new issue for me, it's worked great up to now - so great in fact that I've deleted Zune and switched to Groove completely. How the hell do I fix this, the option to match the metadata is even gone. I've turned on automatic matching but it only seems to fix a couple of albums. I'm a stickler for album art, I really need this fixed.

There is a very easy to see if the art is actually embedded using a PC.
Go to the music files using explorer. In the 'view' options select 'content'. This will give a small thumbnail of the embedded art.

Yea, Groove doesn't see my embedded art most of the time for some reason. I don't know what I can do other than try something else.
