Why won't my contacts email and calendar sync on Windows 10 mobile?

Although my Microsoft account is linked and e.g. my texts have synced, my Outlook apps and contacts are not showing up. Every time I try to add the account to each individual app, it seems to configure correctly but doesn't show up subsequently in the app.

I'm having the same problem and yes my contacts are on People. Now what?
