Why won't my HP OfficeJet 8600, N911a printer PRINT since upgrading to Windows 10?

My HP 8600 printer won't print since upgrading to Windows 10. I don't see any way to troubleshoot the problem. I also can't find a way to update the driver, in case that is the problem.

uninstall the software and install it back - that usually works
