Why won't my Nokia Lumia 521 turn on/boot?

[Windows Central Question]

Earlier this evening, I turned off my phone and when I turned it back on, the screen said, "ERROR: Unable to find bootable option. Press any key to turn off." I turned it off and on many times, and I tried plugging it in. However, now it won't even turn on. Help!
