Why won't my Nokia Lumia 635 send or receive a text?

I can call with my phone, but it won't send or receive texts.

Do you have internet on your device?

Check your APN and MMS settings.

Settings > cellular + SIM > SIM settings > Manual Settings toggled to On > edit internet APN and edit MMS APN
