why wont my phone screenshot?

The new way to screenshot on 8.1 is the volume and power button. It worked one time when I first updated to 8.1. Now it wont work at all. The volume goes all the way up, and then my phone goes to the "pull down to shut off" screen.

You could try restarting your phone first and see if that fixes the problem. Also, you don't need to hold down the volume up and power buttons - as soon as your press these two at the same time your phone should take a screen shot.

My phone won't take screenshots even when I push volume up and sleep bottom it just goes to sleep and I tried sleep and window buttons and it tells me something changed how do I fix that

Works fine over here, try keeping the vol up button down and then only a quick press on the power button

You need to press those buttons simultaneously.

It's a really quick and simultaneous tap of the Volume Up & Power buttons. Tap, don't mash.

My Lumia 1320 gives me a error message at the top of screen saying couldn't take screen shot when I press the up volume and the power button
