Why won't my phone update to Windows 10 mobile build 10166?

I saw today that an update was available so I connected to my WiFi then waited for it to download but after 1 hour or so it was still 0%. So I tried a soft reset but it didn't work. a solution will be much appreciated. Thank you

I'm having the same issue... it's been downloading for over a day now, and I seem to be stuck at 2%. I've allready restarted my lumia 640, but it's still stuck at 2%

I thought my phone the only one with the issue. I hope the issue is solve as soon as possible.

I've turned off the battery saver completely. It went to 26% fast, now he seems to be stuck there... maybe it'll do the trick for you

*edit: phone crashed and I'm stuck at 0% again....

I've tried that but no progress. Some are saying that its downloading in the background, if that's the case it should have been completed by now.

I ended up downgrading back to WP8.1 with the Windows Phone Recovery Tool. After that I reinstalled the Insider app and upgraded to 10166 without any problem. I'm running it now. It took an hour and a half in total. It may take longer depending on your internet speed. Also, it only downloads over wi-fi
