Why won't my Windows Mobile 10 install on my Nokia 1520?

Windows Mobile 10 will not install on Nokia 1520

Hi, apologies if this has been covered elsewhere but I cannot find any threads on this. I have a Nokia 1520 running 8.10.14226.359 and have downloaded the WM10 update. Despite trying this 10 x now, having done 2 factory resets, the phone will not load WM10 more than halfway before it defaults back to Windows 8.1. To make things worse, several of my apps will not load (Fitbit, Podcasts). My phone is standard issue, I have installed a 128GB SD card. I would be grateful if anyone has suggestions to fix this.

what is the error phone gives before it defaults back to 8.1 ??
