Why won't Windows 10 mail allow me to open or download photos?

windows 10 mail will not allow me to open or download photos

I use hotmail, but somehow it says sent from windows 10 mail and I suddenly cannot open photos sent to me

Mail is set to block images by default in most email clients. So you have to turn it on.
