Why would you pre-order a 1520?

Just curious why most people would pre-order anything that is coming to ATT this time of year. The last few years any windows phones have been free with a two year agreement on black friday, so why spend 200 bucks when a few days later you may get it for a penny?

I haven't followed AT&T much but I doubt the 1520 drops down to a penny by Black Friday. Either way, some people don't care. If they want something now and can afford it, they get it.

To answer your question, I personally have never been the "pre-order" kinda guy. I just get it when I can. If it sells out on the first day, I'll just wait. I do get why some people pre-order something. They are excited about a product and simply want to get their hands on it as soon as they possibly can and pre-ordering it ensures that they do.

Black friday is less than 14 days after the release of the 1520...

There is no chance in hell that it will be selling for anything less than $199

Otherwise everyone would just return it and buy it again

yeah that is what everyone thought last year with the 920 and the year before with the htc titan, heck the titan wasnt even out for a week before black friday, and both of these phones cost $200 before and after black friday.

Am I missing something? ...you started this thread to bash on people for pre-ordering because the price would drop for black friday
...then you followed up with a post about how the 920 didn't see a price drop

NO, the 920 was a penny on black friday last year, that is the point i am trying to make. So I reason there is a good chance that the 1520 will be a penny as well.
