wifi problem after firmware update

I recently received a firmware update for the trophy that enabled tethering. Whilst tethering works well it seems to have created an issue with WiFi.

When the phone comes out of standby the wifi symbol shows connected but the phone is actually using 3g for data. I have to turn wifi on and off for it to reconnect and work.

Previously, coming out of standby the wifi icon used to animate to show it was reconnecting. It no longer does this.

Has anyone else had an issue?

Yes, I've been having this issue on my Radar, it does appear that Internet Sharing is the culprit. Even master resets don't fix the problem unfortunately. There is a pretty big thread about it somewhere on here
