Wifi problem!!!!

Well..bought my lumia 620 a few days back .This thing says its connected to wifi but i simply cant access internet! And i guess no update for my phone until this thing gets fixed Need help O

Are you using your home WiFi network, or are you using some public WiFi network?

If it is your home WiFi network, what router do you have, and what type of security are you using? Do other devices connect to your network?

yeah its home wifi network. router _Quidway WA1003A and its WPA security n yeah no other device ,ive never had to use wifi as such :/

hey..i had downloaded the update and then i clicked on install but since then the wheels are rotating ntn has happened..
does installing requires wifi to?

do those wheels disappear and appear again after sometime during the installation period?
leaving your phone on with a blank screen?
