Wifi slow on one laptop but fast on another

Hi, I have a windows 8 and whenever i try looking at youtube videos they are slow and show in horrible quality. My dad has his own laptop and the internet is quite fast there so I know there is nothing wrong with the modem. I learned that sometimes its the drivers that make the laptop slow so i deleted drivers and after that the internet would be fast again but after a few hours it would go back to slow. I dont have anymore drivers to uninstall and i dont know what to do to make the internet fast on my laptop. Thankyou in advance to replies

have you checked for driver updates? And also is the distance the same for both laptops? From the modem? Are they the same laptop models?
