Will 6tag Still Receive a Windows 10 Update?

Sorry for asking this question, but I don't check Twitter often enough, and last Windows Central spoke of 6tag is them saying Rudy is making a Windows 10 update, but we've received no further updates from them.

Good question. But I personally believe there will be a new updated app, yes. he recently tweeted about how wonderful the surface phone is gonna be and all... I don't think he would comment anything like that unless he himself is going to contribute in some way...
but as of now, there aint a windows 10 app for 6tag.

His goal was to create apps for the platform when there was none. Now that Instagram has an official app that is updated often, there's no need.

I am not saying there is a need. I just use it to download stuff, that's all. The first party Instagram app has been working like a charm for me.

For me 6tag works more reliably than instagram - it performs faster

Here's my 50 cents. As a constant 6tag user until recently, these are my observations. Despite many updates for the official IG app, 6tag still works faster and is smoother when scrolling. I even bought the unlimited video upload feature, but the official app allows longer videos to be posted. This still didn't convince me to use the official app, right until the "nearby" feature of 6tag was removed. Damn I loved that thing and still miss it. If it came back I think i'd start using it more often again. I like how it shows if someone is following you or not on their profile, something IG should do long time ago.

Instagram is better now. It has complete features. You got Insta Stories, Live video, 1 minute video uploads, disappearing messages, Zooming on pics, Lots of options in settings and more. If you want to download pics use another app.. And yeah Instagram gets updated once a month and I'm really happy that instagram really supports Windows 10 mobile despite of having almost 0.1% market share.. :'(

I can't get pre recorded video to upload anymore thru the officials Instagram app. It's been working fine for months. Did they stop this feature for windows users? Ive tried it on 2 dif windows phones with dif videos.

6tag needs to be free then no one gonna care about official Instagram app which not letting me upload a videos! I am fade up of official Instagram app! Video uploading not possible from Lumia 540 that's so annoying

I still use 6tag because like many others said, it is definitely faster and more reliable than the official IG app. And personally, I like the 6tag interface much better too. I really hope Rudy develops a uwp version.
