Will Cortana never speak on my phone ?

Hi ! Looking for help.
I can't get Cortana to speak or interact with me on my phone (535DS) on W10,though she shows my reminders and interests (from laptop and Windows 8.1 respectively).I am also unable to set typed reminders or alarms and Cortana just crashes mostly.I am on English India.(English UK on 8.1 previously).Cortana works flawlessly on my laptop (W10) with same settings..I am not on insider.Voice dictation works perfectly.Soft and hard reset has not helped.
Any suggestions ? Thanks in advance.

I will suggest you go with English UK as Cortana does not support English India in smartphone. If you are going to contact MLD support you will get the same answer . Hope it will help you ......

Thanks for the reply but Cortana is available in English India in W10 mobile whereas English India was not available in Windows phone 8.1

I would recommend you to do same setting as was in 8.1

Cortana does not work with the same settings as in Windows 8.1, shows 'something is wrong right now ,come back after a while'
Anyway I will wait for any update MS gives to see whether the situation improves.

The last thing you can do is follow these steps

First you will have to change 'Region and Language' settings. For this go to desktop control panel and select Clock, Language, and Region from the right hand side
Click on Region and change the following:
In the Format tab, set format as English (United States)
Set Home Location in the Location tab as United States
Finally, in the Administrative tab, set Current System Local to English (United States)
Also, set English (United States) as your primary display language to make the aforementioned changes work fine
In case you have not installed it yet, head over to Add a Language and choose it from the list and then set as primary
After you have made the changes, restart your device. Once the system is up, you will find Cortana ready to assist you with information you are looking for

I started having problems with alarms and whatsapp again and camera also started showing error messages on my phone.So I went for another hard reset today.This time Cortana voice search started working fine with English India.I do not want to set my location to any country other than India as that would defeat the purpose of having voice search .Cortana is responding flawlessly in English India this time just like on my laptop.
