Will I get updates? New WP user.

Hello All,

I am a new Windows Phone user, so I am very excited to dive in as I have been an Android enthusiast for the past 5 years.

The device I purchased is a Nokia Lumia 925. I bought it pre-owned, and it already had Windows Phone 8.1 on it.

Is the preview tied to email accounts? Or will I still get updates even though I wasn't the one to install it on the device.?

You should get the public release of Windows Phone 8.1 when it's released for your region. I don't think you have anything to worry about.

As o Aperture o said, you should receive the public version when it is released. If you would like to continue getting Developer Preview updates, you can learn how to sign up for the program here. http://forums.windowscentral.com/wi...-read-first-post-before-asking-questions.html You don't need to do this if you are content to wait for the official release of course. Welcome to WP.

There's no real need to sign up for the developer preview. I don't think there will be any significant updates before the release hits the streets properly.

you need it IF you were using windows phone 8,and not login in it, use the windows phone developer registration unlock, or use nokia software recovery tool
