Firefighters us SCBA (self-contained breathing apparatus) masks when fighting fires, performing rescues, during hazardous material incidents and salvage and overhaul operations, as well as aircraft firefighting emergencies. The HoloLens technology that Microsoft has developed, would greatly help first responders/emergency response personnel, with features like HUD's, to help perform tasks even more safely and efficiently. Integrating this technology, along with having a TIC (thermal imaging camera) system built in the masks, would be extremely beneficial for everyone involved. Firefighters/first responders would be prime candidates for utilizing this type of technology.

That sounds like a great use case for the technology! Sadly MS seem to want to use it for war instead.
