Will my bookmarks sync between Edge and IE?

I am wondering how this is going to work when I upgrade my Laptop and Surface to Windows 10. I have the Lumia 635 (waiting for flagship) with Windows Phone 8.1. What's going to happen in the gap time that I get Windows 10 Mobile and I am using Microsoft Edge? Will the bookmarks, tabs, passwords, etc sync in the mean time? What can I do?
