Will Surface Pro 4 / Surface Book Pen Tip Kit work with Surface 3 / Pro Pen?

I have Surface 3 pen and I intend to change its tip. Can I put the Surface Pro 4 / Surface Book pen tip into it and expect it to work flawlessly?
