Will the 525 work on AT&T?

I was considering the 520 for my son on AT&T but I really like the sound of 1 gig of ram.

I will work has a phone, but, internet data would not work correctly 2g or edge only. It is missing WCDMA 850/1900 band that is needed for AT&T Data network.
