will the ativ work on at&t?

Does anyone know if Verizon blocks the mms apn settings on this phone like they do on the 8X? I can get a good deal on this phone but would like to know if I can have full messaging and data on it first.

Newer Verizon phones, like this one, usually work on other carriers, but not very well. So I really don't suggest getting a Verizon phone and using it on AT&T.

I have one on T-Mobile, and when tinkering in the settings, it tells you that Verizon gets 4G and T-Mobile/AT&T only get 2G. I love the features, hate the screen size, but I will be selling or trading.
