Denim is the responsibility of the carrier. ATT has usually given firmware a few months after release. If you were on Verizon...

Firmware (Like Amber, Black, Cyan, Denim) is separate from the Preview for Developers...

You will get the Denim Firmware, not till early 2015 it looks as of now: Lumia Denim still planned later this year for some Lumias, early in 2015 for others | Windows Central

The P4D program has put you ahead of the OS version that will come at the same time. 8.1.1 ending, most likely, about where Live Folders was introduced...

There is a way to get Denim. Download Windows Insider, check for updates, it will come. But only do 1 update. If you do 2 updates fast forwards you to Windows 10 unstable version
