Will the Surface Pro replace my Laptop

I am thinking Pro also. I would like to install music production programs (Ableton) & it would be way more convenient than my laptop. Since I have a main recording pc at home. I can build my foundation tracks on the Pro then transfer them at home. May have to buy a Bluetooth KB/M seeing that the x1 USB port could be an issue but never tried using a hub before. Do they work simultaneous?

I was just thinking how awesome it would be to have Surface Pro docked and mirrored to a large monitor. You could basically use the tablet on your desk for navigation, like a fancy controller.

• $799 for Surface Pro 64 GB w/out cover
• $899 for Surface Pro 64 GB w/ TouchCover
• $999 for Surface Pro 128 GB w/ TouchCover

The hardware may be better, but the product does not include Office.

nah, the lowest it will go imo would probably be $899. Compare it to the 64 gig RT. Has better resolution, x86, 10point touch input, pen input, combined digital/analog output port, bigger battery, and more RAM. Not to mention it comes loaded with windows 8.

I doubt that would only be only an extra $100. $200 is pushing it

Surface Pro specifications have been out for quite awhile on Surface.com. Now it's just a matter of wating.
