Win 10 is smooth on the 635

2 column windows 10 is more zippy than my 3 column win 8.1 install was. I did not try the 2 column view when I had 8.1 installed.

Since my reset, My 3 column in Windows 10 is as smooth as the 2 column was, and every bit as smooth or more so than on 8.1. I had to do a hard reset to get it there, though. I don't think it's for everyone yet. But it will be one day before too much longer, I'm sure.

Biggest issue so far is battery drain on my 635. Much higher than before. Phone frequently gets warm.

Mine is also heating up quite noticeably. I don't know whether to try a reset or just wait for the next update and see if that fixes it. I don't think my battery drain is much different; I tried to look at battery stats in Settings, but they don't seem to be there, even though the System menu says "Screen, notifications, search, battery."

Could you elaborate your post, exactly what are your issues, because almost everyone else has reported an almost smooth experience atleast after a hard reset.

I accidentally updated it last night and so far is pretty good. It's a few bugs here and there, but it works great. The notification center in way better than what it was before.

PSA, I did a hard reset just to see if it helped. So far it seems to be just as laggy. And to top it off, I lost access to the Chase app, I guess it's time to find a new bank. I'll post again if it starts behaving differently.

Just another update. I reduced the amount of pinned apps to 58, most were in folders. My phone now runs much faster in all areas. Even at 65-70 it was a little choppy but that was better than the probably 100+ I did have pinned.

You're right, the camera has improved and there's very few worrisome issues. I had a sync issue with Onenote that was resolved after a reboot. The battery did seem to drain a bit....but I was doing a lot of stuff at the time. I'm using a 635, only phone, with no fears.

I'm glad you mentioned this, everything Bing on my 635 is dead. Now, I don't feel bad because someone else has the same issue.

Posted from either Nexus 5 or Lumia 635, love both.

been running it on my 635 since the TP came out, one hard reset, and it is running pretty good! Only problem I have had is the photos and one drive apps crash when you try to upload or download a picture. I do not use alot of apps, but the ones I do use are running fine, no over heating issues, and battery life is decent.

What. Is. That. Blue. Dot. On. The. Keyboard?!?
Sent from my Lumia. ?\_(ツ)_/?

That was talked about in the features of W10 for phones in the blog articles.
It's supposed to be something like the "nub" mouse used on the old IBM laptops.
I believe it will work to move the cursor around in the type window when the keypad is up.

Just a note it's color changes when the theme of the phone is changed.
The one on mine is red right now :)

Welp,
Went back to 8.1 under Cyan from 10 on me 635.

Seen it
Read about it
Installed it
Used it
Recovered from it
Didn't write a song about it

Same here! It's really leggy on the 635 :( Glad to be back on 8.1, but do miss the text message pull down feature.

I was thinking about returning to 8.1, not because of lag, but because of constant crashing of apps. The most annoying thing is the crashing of photos app when I try to upload a photo on Facebook or Tapatalk. Sometimes it's ok from first try but usually I have to retry up to five times! But I've decided to stay on it and see what next upgrade will bring because I kinda like spamming Microsoft with reports and feedbacks. :D

Gotta keep 10 going on this phone. I thought i read we can expect monthly updates from MS. I think the 635 might be one of their favorite lab rats.

W10Pfp is ok with a number of good features as far as the organized settings etc.
Some things made little sense.

Ah well I don't want to complain at Microsoft for the beta effort.
Previews are one thing about Microsoft that can't be dismissed when realizing this as forward thinking.
Hats off to the software giant!
