Windows 10 Mobile Tech Preview on 640 XL

Hi,
Any one has installed Windows Mobile 10 Tech. preview on 640 XL. I tried three times. I could install well but run into various issues every time:

1. Cannot configure email
2. wifi sharing does not work
3. Whatsapp crash frequently
4. After installing an app, if there is an update to same app. update always fail.

Please suggest.

There is nothing to suggest other then Welcome to the world of installing a preview.
So use the Windows feedback app and roll back to wp 8.1 if you can not live with these issues.

Hey, have you got the latest version of W10M on your 640 XL? Just wondering if the messaging app is stable, cause on my 1020 it crashed and hung quite a bit.

that was an outdated build with all the problems confirmed by others (most of them at least). The latest build works fine here on my 640XL and my wife's. The messaging app did crash quite often on 10581, but is stable on 10586.11.

Yes messaging app crashed on my phone also on previous build. But now its stable.

need some info brother; if you don't mind:

1- many many many people are complaining about HUGE bugs on windows 10 mobile; we all know it is not finalized yet...many of these people are using the OS on old hardware the x20 series...and even MS said that those with these devices will get the OS in february 2016..so it's normal!
anyway, can you confirm or infirm...that the latest build FOR your 640 XL is GOOD and stable at...90? or 100% ?
what are the bugs you encounter?

2- is smart dialing finally there and working ? (i am hating WP8.1 coz of this lol)
3- what are the various gps/location settings? what is different from Wp 8.1 ?
4- is viber WM10 out yet? with video?

1) 95% stable for me. I really don't know what the missing 5% is though. As others stated, it feels like a new phone to me.

2) Smart Dialing works on mine (if you are referring to this)

3) 4G/3G/2G; you can turn location on/off, show location icon on or off, clear location history, choose specific apps to use location or not, geofencing turned on or off by app.
there are folks with issues.

4) I see viber available in Store with in-app purchases. It doesn't say whether this is W10M specific. Probably best to consult their forums and facebook page.

So Im installing now. I will update with impression somtime this weekend or next week.
