Windows 10 preview

I don't understand the difference. I have a notebook running Windows 8.1 and I signed up as an insider. The thing is that I went to the main page and just pressed on upgrade to windows 10 preview and it's installing but I have seen many things about partition, extract files, virtual box, etc. Am i doing something wrong or we have different ways to install the preview?

Then the rest of the things you have read are prolly from advanced users that also tried installing the leaked versions. Just go through the official channels and you will be A-ok (After all; if it works, why fix it) :smile:
