Windows 10 printing problem with word 2010

I have successfully installed my printer onto my laptop but when I go onto Word 2010 and try to print out document it tells me that there are no printers installed and when I click on find printer I get the windows domain directory unavailable message. Help please. I know the printer/scanner works on laptop because I tried scanning and that worked fine.

Go to Printers. E.g. Control Panel/Printers and print a Test page. (Right click, Printer Properties, Test Page)
