Windows 10 query

I manually triggered windows 10 update via command prompt(article in WC site) and its not showing downloading in control panel but the system tray has the downloading update icon.. How do i check that its downloading windows 10?
Will i lose my installed apps after installing?
How do i find product key? Is there any app to find it?
