Windows 10 slowed down my overall system. How can I increase it?

Windows 10 slowed down my overall system.

I have installed Windows 10 on my Gateway MS2317 Pentium Laptop today and it has literally slowed down my overall system, I am not happy with it and I want to install Windows 7 again.

Is there a way I could have a faster performance on Windows 10 or should I refresh my system back to Windows 7?

That happened on one of my laptops. An HP 255 G1... of course, it started out kinda worthless so I just chalked it up to the hardware.
