Windows 10 Tech Preview takes forever to install!

So I just installed Windows 10 Tech Preview on April 1st. And I thought it was just my PC but my friend wanted to install it too. So it took me 3 hours to install it on an SSD (Samsung Pro 840) and his took over 9 hours to install his.

So I was wondering if anyone had any difficulty installing Windows 10 recently?

It took less than 1hr for me

Yeah, I started downloading the latest fast-track update (10049) yesterday afternoon - it took a couple hours to download, and then well over an hour ton install (I don't know how long exactly, because I had to go home... it was done this morning, though )
