Windows 7 V/s 10?

Re: Windows 7 V/s 10

Can anyone tell me which one is better Windows 7 or Windows 10

On very old hardware (Pentium, PentiumD, Celeron 1st gen, oldest chipsets, 1 or 2 GB RAM) Windows 7
The others, better Win10 (considering MS will close 7 support maybe on summer on Anniversay update)

Re: Windows 7 V/s 10

Its subjective. You can argue Windows 10 is less private or its less reliable. It can better handle SSD's. You dont get Media Center or XP Mode with 10 if you care about that. 7 is tried and true, but lacks many features 10 has etc.

Another reason for WIndows 10 as you here WIndows 7 is supported until 2020. That's when Microsoft will support but the 3rd party vendors new products are coming out more compatible with Windows 10 like printers other accessories.

I use Win10 on all my home computers and 7 at work. Nothing at all wrong with either for those uses. 10 is better at home with apps for browsing and media consumption that work for me. 7 supports all my work programs (for programming, sales management, etc.) and everything I need there. 7 worked fine at home for me before but I have no real issues upgrading from 7/8 and staying here.

on my aging computer . windows 10 booted up way faster than windows 7 did. but it had a lot of bugs. (even the stable releases). windows 7 rarely falters.

Re: Windows 7 V/s 10

They are both good. I personally like Windows 10 despite one or two very minor bugs that I have encountered a couple of times that don't affect usability for me. As mentioned before, the thing W7 has going for it is the media center and native ability to play DVDs. While W10 ditches both, a free alternative such as VLC allows DVD playback and WMP still can play music (Groove Music app works also). W10 has the added ability of apps such as Netflix, Hulu, Kindle, etc.

Re: Windows 7 V/s 10

Look into the hardware drivers Windows 10 and see if they are supported well in Windows 10. Some hardwares are still not fully optimized for Windows 10.

All things being equal, I would recommend Windows 10. It runs faster, the "metro" apps are very useful as well.
