Hello, Windows 8.1 is due to be released sometime in October. I have a surface RT running Windows RT.

I understand that WIN 8.1 preview can be installed on the RT but my question is:

Can the full version of Win 8.1 be installed when it is released onto the RT or will there be an RT version of 8.1?

Please clarify.

Nah mate. You'll need to restore Windows 8 prior to installing the official release of 8.1.

There will be a specific RT version of 8.1 to install. Does that answer your question?

No. It is Windows RT 8.1

No. You can update to RTM when it's available. Some apps will need a re-install.
