Windows 8 and Windows 8.1 combine for 10.58% of the desktop market

We know that Windows Phone 8 moved 10.9 million handsets during the fourth quarter of 2013 and by doing so saw a year over year growth of 104% for the platform. But how?s Windows 8 doing? Some new numbers out from Net Applications show how Windows 8 (including Windows 8.1) are doing when compared to other platforms like Windows 7, Windows XP, OS X, and Linux. The decision to push out a major OS update through the store has to be the biggest failure of 2013. people don't go to the store for os upgrades, they do it for apps. even apple knows this. such a stupid move.
