Windows apps attempt to open, then minimize?

On my Surface Pro 3, when I attempt to open select Windows apps, they appear to start to open but then minimize. This happens on both my extended monitor and when using the SP3 as a tablet. I have tried to uninstall and reinstall the apps with no luck. Any ideas? Thanks!
