Windows Fall Update Gets Stuck at 23%

I'm trying to update my SP3 and it gets stuck at 23%. I've looked through my event viewer and I can't find any errors. When I check the update history, it said it failed to install, but it doesn't say why; and the support info link doesn't give any information.

I've also checked event viewer and can't find any problems.

Finally, when I click "check for updates", it says I'm up to date and there are no new updates.

Any thoughts?


P.S. My desktop upgraded with no issues.

I used to have problems with upgrading to Windows 10 from 7 and somehow it did work with the media creation tool.

Thanks. That's the method I tried, and got stuck. I ended up going a different route. I'll provide the link as soon as I can.

And of course, it decided to work...right after I created this thread...go figure...

I was having similar issues on my laptop but my tablet upgraded just fine. Eventually I had to use the USB image and update.

On my laptop and tablet, I found I had to run the Windows 10 Update Troubleshooter or else the update kept failing over and over again.

I don't think that was the issue with me. Because the method that worked downloaded the executable to my SDCard. I'm up and running now. Thanks for the input.

Mine got stuck too at 23%.

i rebooted it, let it install again and it worked the 2nd time.
