Windows Mobile Contacts To Windows Phone 7

I currently have the HTC Imagio, and i sold it getting ready to upgrade to the HTC Trophy which i should be getting in the mail tomorrow. Ive been trying to google sync like i did previously with my touch pro 2 i had but whenever i do that it says attention required, im trying to hotmail active sync my contacts but cant get that to work either

is there any way to sync my contacts to my gmail or hotmail account then sync it back to my new trophy? how exactly are u suppose to do the hotmail sync is there a step by step process for this somewhere? did they change the google sync process?

Have you asked Verizon if they can do it for you in the store?

Sorry, I've never used Windows Mobile so I'm not sure how syncing works.
