Dear All,

I am slightly struggling with this and would appreciate some help.

We are looking at replacing some of our phones, to WP7, around 60.

Unfortunately I am unable to find good information into how to deploy the phones in a corporate environment.

It seems that there isn't much information on this or, I am not searching in the right places.

I don't want to go around creating windows live ID's/hotmail accounts for every employee, is this the only way?

Please advice, I have had a look on here, but cannot find the information I need, it's more geared towards the use of phone in a business environment rather than deployment.

Thanks very much in advanced,

Gabi.

Hi,

Thanks for the reply.

Uses;

  1. Making Calls
  2. Receiving Calls
  3. Checking emails
  4. Replying to emails

The normal stuff.

Thanks,

Gabi.

Your company will get more out of Windows Phone based on how invested they are in the Microsoft ecosystem. For example, there's built-in support for Exchange, Office 365, and of course Microsoft Office. There's also POP and iMAP.

You can also use Group Text to quickly communicate with team members. And files can be synced through SkyDrive for easy access. There's also a desktop app for SkyDrive that makes it easier.

Some people prefer using the People Search app because it helps them navigate long contact lists. There's also Good to help manage email, calendar, and contacts.

You can sign into a phone using most of the major providers, though I would recommend that everyone sign up with a Hotmail account. They can add additional email accounts afterwards.

And if you're looking at phones now then I highly suggest the Lumia 900. Can't beat Nokia's custom apps or support. :)

Don't forget the free Offline GPS useful if you travel.

There is also Sharepoint integration. This way, people can log in and have access to all kinds of stuff that may be on your server. Otherwise, Office 365, and Exchange Mail accounts work seamlessly also.
