Is anyone else thinking about doing a hard reset without recalling settings after finishing the update as to get a completely clean slate?

Exactly, trolling your phone to see if the battery performance is improved is more likely to just drain the battery for no reason.

Error 80188309 is fixed. People who have been getting this error the past few weeks (especially Huawei users) may now install the update!

One thing I've noticed since the new update so far is the camera app seems alot faster. Taking pictures and viewing pictures right after they are taken is faster. Lumia 620

Ativ S camera still buggy, guess we'll have to wait for Samsung drivers. So far everything else works fine.

2 things I was waiting to be fixed still arnt, video app still greyed out and custom sms tones still cut out if notification banner is switched on :-(

I see from the homepage article as well as comments here that apps will be re-installing via the migration tool. Will this wipe game data? Just checking as a precaution before I install the update.

No. It won't. You have a cloud backup of apps+settings, if you have turned it on.
