Windows Phone 8.1 Update 2 on 830

I was wondering if anyone here was able to successfully install Windows Phone 8.1 Update 2 on their Lumia 830?

Did you perform a hard reset after the update? What's your thought on the performance, stability, etc.?

I installed it yesterday and haven't performed a hard reset, everything is working just fine.

I installed it but it only mentions Win10 and don't want that unless it's official. And I don't think I have the credentials to even sign up.

All you need is a Microsoft email address (outlook, live). Its meant to test, anyone can use it.

And it only mentions Win10, it says 0 about Update 2. Apparently you don't have that Update 2 either...edit: you don't have a Lumia 830 or a 640 I guess that's why. None the less it says 0 about Update 2

Of course not, its a W10 program. Update 2 is only coming to a couple devices. Chances are, if your able to get W10, you're not going to get Update 2.

I was mearly telling you what was needed to sign up for the Insider's Program.

After I got Update2 I was exploring for new changes.. then more updates rolled in ... so now its W10TP on my 920... It's a rough ride so far

I thought you got an RM 985, right? I was hoping I could get the Update 2 as well via Insider, after I read that some people got this before they were able to install W10. However, it will go straight to W10 on my L830 ATT RM-983. I tried W10 for a few hours and decided it's still too broken to work with my Band and with no Office apps it's a no go for me. I then tried DP and it won't get me Update 2 either. My theory is that all the folks who got the Update 2 when trying to upgrade to W10 are on RM-985 and people with the RM-983 are left out again.....
well, I guess I already told you I learned my lesson

Yeah I've an RM-985 running the Rogers ROM and I updated it yesterday. I've actually seen posts here from familiar folks owning a RM-985 and still not able to download Update 2. These are posts from today so I'm guessing Microsoft might have patched it after yesterday's fiasco. I tried downloading it today for my 920 from Rogers and it did update directly to W10.

Yes it did update first to Update 2, then when it was checking for updates, I unchecked those two options and no more updates even after manually checking for one.

Yeah kinda, no visual changes so far outside of the known ones.

shouldn't this now allow to work with BT keyboards?

Please post if you have any luck choosing 8.1 Update 2 and not Win10 on your RM-985. I'd like Update 2 but I'm not keen on be required to download Win10.
