Windows Phone 8.1 wifi settings

Hey guys, quick question: do any of you lumia lovers missing the 'keep wifi on when screen is locked'? I have a lumia 920 but the option is not there, but on my dads HTC 8x it is there.

Yes it was a nice feature , but it seems like in wp8.1 they have removed that setting. My wifi is always turned on in background which results on continuous background email sync and terrible battery life :/

Oh this is gone...are we hoping a coming back for this feature in the next build..any ideass???

^^ your guess is same as most of us... which is we don't know yet but keeping the Wi-Fi always on does not affect battery performance by a lot since the devices hardware supports low power state... but yes having that option would have helped
