Windows Phone 8 app for Desktop

Hello, does anyone have any information about the Windows Phone 8 app for Desktop software? The development seems to have ground to a halt.

Are Microsoft still developing the software? Will there be any updates soon?

The software works ok but im sure they can make it better.

Microsoft will still be working on the software, there properly fixing some of the issues and will be testing features to then implement.

This app is terrible, buggy, slowly and basic. I prefer to use the windows media player, a lot better.
