Windows Phone dropping connection?

Hi,

UK, Microsoft Lumia 950, Windows 10 mobile, 02.

Every so often, this handset loses its connection both to the O2 network and to my home wi-fi. Calls go straight to voicemail. However, if I use the handset to, e.g., call voicemail, it picks up the connection to O2 and wi-fi again.

I can understand disconnecting wi-fi in order to save battery life but disconnecting from the phone network is just daft! I've looked for a setting somewhere to sort this, but can't find one.

Does this sound like a hardware fault with the handset itself?

Any assistance gratefully received.

Sounds like a software or firmware bug rather than hardware. There is a firmware for 950 rolling out soon. Not in UK yet. You could do a backup and hard reset and restore to see if the OS. I would also stick with production OS rather than insider incase it is a bug in insider builds.

I was having this issue. I went and enrolled in the insiders program, and selected the insider Release Preview ring. Whatever version it's on solved my problem.
