My old mono laser deskjet has died.
The cats attacked it one too many times.

Been having a look at new printers. Like the wireless idea - can leave the printer anywhere.

Anyone had good/bad experiences with these printers and their Surface RT? It flat out wouldn't work with my old HP via USB.
Not looking to spend a lot of money, so ones at the cheaper end of the market. Having the scanner could be useful too.

I've been using a Canon MP495 at home and it's worked great, my Surface 2 was pretty happy printing to it. I seem to remember the scanning side was also fine.

I have a Brother printer - Microsoft drivers installed automatically and it worked great, but now scanning is flakey - it's also flakey from my desktop so I think it's a hardware issue. That issue aside it prints just fine from the RT.

I have a Brother MFC-J625DW. It works with my phone and RT. Go to the Brother site to see the current printers supported on the phone and they will work with your RT.
