Wirless Channels

I recently purchased a new unlocked ATIV S in the UK and it doesn't seem to be able to find wireless channel 13 which is what my network is set to use. I do live in the UK so channel 12 and 13 are available to me.

It is fine if I change the channel to 11 or below, does anyone know how to fix this? Changing the channel on the router which is not ideal or a compromise I wish to make.

The reason for the different channels on your router is to avoid interference with other WiFi networks nearby, so it doesn't matter which channel you use as long as you don't clash with a neighbour's.

Thanks for the reply however the ATIV S should be able to see channel 13 as do all my other devices currently. I use channel 13 as its the least congested in my area.

It seems to have resolved itself now so might have been my router needing a reboot.
