I have been using Galaxy notes for several years and love the stylus ability. My go to app for taking notes and marking up PDFs, and images was lecturenotes. It is a very powerful app with years of development behind it.
I love my new book, but the apps that truly leverage the stylus are still not quiet up there yet. I have tried using onenote and it is okay, but hit or miss with PDFs. Example, I have a PDF that I marked up and if I move the PDF, the markups stay where they were at originally like if I need to insert a line above the PDF. And that PDF is only visible in onenote on the machine that I put it on to start with, it is not available across devices, only the markup portion.
I have also tried drawboard, but although it has some nice features, it still acts like it is in beta. For example, there is a problem with the inking that has been on the problems forum since April. With markup and inking being what they advertise, seems like they would fix it. Also they do not do a good job on the palm rejection. If I am inking and highlight something then bump it with my finger, it highlights where my finger bumped it.
I hope these apps will become more robust and better with the new Microsoft pen, but it is somewhat disappointing as I have been looking for to this in windows for many years and was hoping it would be a bit more on par with Samsung's stylus ability.
I am not knocking the book, it is by far the best laptop I have ever had even with the rollout glitches.
