Wordament ; why can I not login as Facebook user?

I've been playing wordament for ages and ages now- always logged in through Facebook. This past week, the app keeps closing down before it properly loads. I deleted app and reloaded. I can now go on as a guest- but when I try to login with facebook, the app immediately closes down again!

This is happening to me too. I'm new to Wordament. I can only play as a guest. When I try to connect through Facebook the app closes.

I can't answer the question because I always play as guest, but has something changed with Wordament? I'm not very good and generally place anywhere from the mid-100s to the upper 200s, but lately I'm in the low 100s and even a little below 50th sometimes. Are less people playing or something?

It's such a shame that company like Microsoft cannot fix a major bug in 2 years. So many negative rating in Google play for this but still noone even bothered to look at them. Without Facebook login I cannot compete with friends and see their score.

And why not log in as XBOX player? It works fine for me.
