I'm thinking something like Windows 8 settings panel.. distribuited by categories and in alphabetical order

Like that:

English -------------------------------------------Portuguese (to compare alphabetical order)

I like this concept the most. Keeps the modern style intact but combines stuff into categories. It's basically what we have now but sorted out which is all the settings list really needs. I will be very disappointed if they don't go for this simple but effective route.

The folder look just isn't appealing. We don't need another start screen.

This thread brings up a point I've noticed but never said anything about before, but wow is our current settings menu a chaotic mess! There is absolutely no rhyme or reason as to why they are scattered about and not organized or sorted in any logical way! I'm kinda surprised it has been like this from the start and has yet to be updated!

My opinion might seem strange to most of you guys, but I actually like this type of messy settings. For me it's easier to find stuff like this. Maybe it has something to do with the fact that I'm using a non-english WP, so maybe the poor translation has something to do with it, but I remember when on old Symbians or Androids every setting was organized by topics, but it was such a pain to find something for the first time (i mean before you memorized where to actually find it).. Now in this case - everything's just there, no need to flip back and forth between different topics to find USB settings for example.. It's just there.. somewhere.. scroll down and you find it :) I personally like it.

Though, In my opinion, it would be better to be able to reach every setting faster - like making able to pin any settings menu or sub-menu to start screen or the notification centre.. Also, the idea with most used or most recently used setting is also good. :)
